Accessibility
I wanted to implement accessibility features into our game to make the game more accessible to people who benefit from accessibility features. I started with trying to implement colorblind mode so people with colorblindness can have an easier time playing our game. Although, I noticed there wasn't too much information on adjusting for colorblindness and I wasn't too sure how to approach the problem. I ended up using a Channel Mixer to start adjusting colors of the game in-game and I ended up coming up with a color palette change for each type of colorblindness. Although, I actually ended up just recreating colorblindness in-game, which made me feel very stupid. Although, after researching some more, it seemed that some people with colorblindness didn't care about the color palette, as long as the game isn't color focused and not required to distinguished important things, such as health bars. Seeing that our game doesn't have things like health bars and our game doesn't use color to drive gameplay, I decided that colorblind mode wasn't a beneficial feature at the moment. However, I will continue to research accessibility features to see what would work great with our game.
